ABOUT

Sindhu Kiran is an internationally acclaimed Odissi performer, choreographer, and teacher, with over two decades of dedication to the art form.

Her journey began at the age of four with Bharatanatyam and the folk dances of Kerala, later immersing herself in Odissi under legendary gurus, including Padma Vibhushan Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra and Guru Protima Gauri Bedi at Nrityagram, Bangalore. Over the years, she has performed extensively across India and in countries such as France, Japan, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, and Singapore, captivating audiences with her grace, precision, and soulful abhinaya.

An accomplished academic, Sindhu holds a Master’s degree in Yoga, a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Travel Management, and a Teacher Training Certificate from Pranava Yoga Dhama (approved by Yoga Alliance, USA).

Her expertise extends beyond dance to yoga, pranayama, and holistic well-being, making her approach to training deeply rooted in both artistic and physical discipline.

In 2006, Sindhu founded Rudra Nrityayogashala in Wayanad, Kerala, with a branch in Mysuru, as a vibrant center for Odissi, yoga, and Indian culture. Through Rudra, she nurtures aspiring dancers from India and abroad, offering not just technique but also a deep cultural understanding of the art. Her vision is to preserve the authenticity of Odissi while creating a space for innovation, cross-cultural exchange, and artistic growth.

For students, learning from Sindhu is a rare opportunity to be guided by a teacher whose training, experience, and passion embody the very essence of Indian classical dance. Her teaching blends discipline with devotion, ensuring each student’s journey is both artistically enriching and personally transformative.
